Ferdinand is my Catalina 270 designed by a long time friend and neighbor Gerry Douglas of Catalina Yachts. I visited the factory every week watching it being built. Ferdinand is named after one of my all time favorite critters who knew how to survive and to enjoy life. Munro Leaf's story of Ferdinand goes back many years and is still in print in 60 languages.
